Nora is a paralegal and analyst for AEL. Prior to her work at AEL, Nora studied Sociology and Psychology as an undergraduate student, with a focus on prison reform. Nora has experience working directly with New York’s criminal legal system as a Case Coordinator for Pretrial Services in Brooklyn. She has been involved in various criminal justice reform initiatives, including tutoring in correctional facilities and taking classes alongside incarcerated students. She has extensive writing and research experience. Her Senior Honor’s Thesis discussed the impact of college-in-prison programs on incarcerated and non-incarcerated students’ perceptions of self and environment and was awarded Highest Honors.
