Florence is a paralegal with AEL. Florence earned her B.A. in History from Brown University, where she specialized in the early modern Atlantic world. During her time at Brown, she served as the Managing Editor of the Brown Journal of History and led the editorial process for the university’s only undergraduate peer-reviewed history journal. She also assisted in numerous public humanities initiatives at the John Hay Library, where her published archival research continues to support efforts in historical justice and recovery. In her senior year, Florence was named a finalist for the Rhodes Scholarship in recognition of her academic achievement, leadership, and commitment to public service. Before joining AEL, she gained practical legal experience as an intern at a leading law firm in Bermuda, where she conducted in-depth case law research on complex cross-border matters.
