Veronica is a paralegal with AEL. She graduated from Barnard College of Columbia University in May 2024, earning a B.A. in Human Rights and Political Science, summa cum laude. As a proud second-generation Cuban American daughter of immigrants, Veronica is dedicated to promoting advocacy work that includes historically excluded communities. In addition to her paralegal role at AEL, Veronica is her chapter’s Co-President of the Crop Walk foundation, creating programs and fundraisers to raise money to fight against world hunger. During her time as an undergraduate student, Veronica was a tour guide and admissions officer for Barnard College and Treasurer of Mujeres, a Latinidad philanthropic organization. Veronica also has a great love for the performing arts and has worked in theatre along the East Coast and as an off-Broadway actress in New York City. She is also passionate about pageantry and was recently a Miss New York USA state finalist.
