Tara focuses her practice on government investigations and enforcement matters, qui tam defense, white collar criminal defense, and complex commercial litigation.
Prior to joining AEL, from 2019 to 2020, Tara served as a law clerk for the Honorable Katherine Polk Failla of the Southern District Court for the Southern District of New York. Before that, from 2018 to 2019, Tara served as a law clerk for the Honorable Gerard E. Lynch of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. She was previously an associate at an international law firm, where she gained experience in commercial litigation, representing both plaintiffs and defendants, and white collar investigations.
Tara received her Juris Doctor in 2017 from Columbia Law School where she was a James Kent and Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar, Hamilton Fellow, and editor of the Columbia Law Review. While in law school, she externed in the Public Corruption Unit of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York.
She received her Bachelor of Arts in Economics, magna cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania in 2014.
